WES Policy
If sending treats, non-edible items, such as pencils or small party favors are requested.
Party invitations may only be distributed at school if all students in your child's class are invited. This includes distributing invitations inside or outside of the classroom (recess, lunch, specials, hallways, etc.). When it is not possible to include all classmates, please extend these invitations directly from home.
If any classmates are excluded, all of the invitations will be sent home with the student who brought them.
Missed Class Work Policy
Absence, School Activities, Vacation
Absence: Missed work may be picked up at the Main Office at the end of the day, if requested by 9:30 on the morning of the student's absence. Or, missed work will be sent home when the student returns. Some assignments may be posted in Google Classroom on the day of the absence. Students will take missed quizzes and tests when they return to school. Missed writing assignments will be made up in class.
School Activities: When students are out of class for Band, Chorus, Advanced Chorus, G&T, etc., classwork will be sent home on the day it is missed, and it is due back the next day. This helps keep students up-to date on classwork, especially if they participate in more than one activity during instructional time.
Vacation: Missed work will not be provided prior to a vacation. Assignments will be provided when the student returns to school, and will be due in the same number of days that the student was absent.
