The currency in Poland is the Polish Złoty (PLN). Most places accept card payments.
The conference takes place in Sopot, which is part of the Tri-City area (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot). These cities are located close to each other and are well-connected, making it easy to explore the area. You can travel conveniently using public transport, taxis, or shared commute services.
Public transport connections and timetables can be checked using Google Maps or JakDojade.pl. Tickets can be purchased online (via apps like SkyCash or website JakDojade.pl), or in the ticket machines at selected stations. For taxis, you can use popular apps such as Uber or Bolt.
If you arrive by airplane at Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, you can take public transport or a taxi to reach the Sopotorium Medical Resort.
If you choose public transport, take the PKM train (labeled as REG in Google Maps) to the Gdańsk Wrzeszcz station. From there, transfer to the SKM train heading towards Wejherowo or Gdynia Główna and get off at the Sopot Wyścigi station. To change to the SKM train at Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, simply switch platforms. Tickets for both the PKM and SKM trains can be purchased at ticket machines available at the stations. Ticket machines accept cash and cards, and they are available in multiple languages, including English. The train journey takes approximately 50-60 minutes.
Alternatively, you can take the 112 bus (in the direction of “Sopot Kamienny Potok”) and get off at the “Grunwaldzka” stop. The bus journey takes about 50 minutes, tickets can be purchased at the Ticket machine at the airport.
Both public transport routes can be easily followed using Google Maps, and the ticket machines usually have the English-language option.
If you prefer a taxi, apps like Uber or Bolt are commonly used in the area. The taxi ride from the airport typically costs around 40-60 PLN and takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. If you do not use apps, we recommend using the taxis available at the airport.
The closest train station for intercity connections to the hotel is Sopot. From there you can either take a 20-minute walk to the Sopotorium hotel or a taxi.
The Sopotorium Hotel is located 400 meters from the beach and approximately 1.5 kilometers (a 20-minute walk) from the main city square. The square is preceded by Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street, a popular and lively area filled with bars and restaurants. Along this street, you can also find the famous “Krzywy Domek” (Crooked House), a unique architectural attraction (pictured on the right).
