Dear Parents/Guardians,

You are receiving this letter because your child is currently enrolled in an Honors course or has expressed an interest in taking dual credit courses in high school. The dual credit program in Southwest ISD has been around for more than twenty years and has become one of the most robust dual credit programs in the city. The opportunities available to students through dual credit begin in 9th grade and we want to make sure you are well informed and aware of the process as your students begin preparing for high school. On the back of this letter, you will find some helpful information about the dual credit program.

I also want to invite you to an Advanced Academic meeting for the Legacy High School feeder schools (McAuliffe & Resnik) on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 9:00 am or 5:30 pm via Zoom (zoom links can be found below). The purpose of this meeting will be an information session about dual credit as well as other opportunities available through advanced academics in Southwest ISD.
