The California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI) helps ensure that all 6-12th grade students have access to plan, prepare, and pay for post-secondary education and training. Using the free CaliforniaColleges.edu platform to apply for college, financial aid, and conduct career exploration activities allows for a more seamless application process. School sites can provide support along the college and financial aid application process and use information from career inventories to support our district College & Career going culture.
California students deserve a seamless path from K-12 to fulfilling careers. The California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI), which manages CaliforniaColleges.edu, is a legislatively authorized service provider to all California school districts as established in California Education Code Section 60900.5.
CaliforniaColleges.edu is California’s state-funded, comprehensive, digital platform with the tools students need to develop their college and career plans, available at no cost to students, educators, and parents/guardians in public school districts.
