Financial aid is money to help pay for college or career school. Grants, work-study, loans, and scholarships help make college or career school affordable.
STEP 1: Create an FSA ID
(username & password for FAFSA only)
Both the student & one parent need to create an FSA ID
If parent does not have a SSN they can sign the FAFSA using the paper version
You will need to include your name, date of birth, social security number, phone number and valid email address

STEP 2: Complete the FAFSA or CADAA by March 2nd:
Contact your school counselor if you need help completing the FAFSA/CADAA or attend a Cash For College event

STEP 3: Follow up
Your information will be sent to the schools you listed on your application. Each school will give you an estimate of your financial aid award.
Review your FAFSA/CADAA application and submit any corrections
Your college or career school may follow up requesting additional information
