We would like to extend a warm welcome to our English Learner Advisory Committee, ELAC 2024-2025. We are grateful to Mr. Elizalde, Mr. Yang, Ms. Oropeza, Ms. Leyva, and Ms. Padilla for their leadership in representing our families with students who are learning English as a Second Language at Rancho del Rey Middle School.
WishWell Parent Workshops
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful families of Rancho del Rey and the dedicated Wishwell team for their active participation in the recent WishWell parent workshops. Rancho del Rey Middle in partnership with WishWell, family circles anticipate hosting more dynamic and engaging workshops next semester to foster strong and positive relationships between parents and students.
Attendance Awareness Month
Parent volunteers are welcome at Rancho del Rey Middle School! Your support as a volunteer at Rancho del Rey Middle School is invaluable. Your involvement will not only benefit students, teachers, and administrators, but it will also demonstrate to your children that you are deeply committed to their education. A friendly reminder that we have a school policy in place that prohibits receiving outside food for your child. If your child forgets their lunch, we have free food available in the cafeteria for them.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to school policies.
RDR Policy per our Student/Parent Handbook
VISITORS/PARENTS: For student safety, all visitors are required by law to check in with the main office upon entering and leaving the campus. Those wishing to visit classrooms must have prior approval from the administration and obtain a visitor’s pass from the main office. Only those individuals with valid photo identification designated as authorized contacts may be given access to students.
Wellness Room
The counselors are excited to announce the opening of the Wellness Room in the counseling center. The Wellness Room is a place for students to practice wellness strategies when dealing with: stress, anxiety, family concerns, or tough relationships. Student will have an opportunity to relax and have access to calming light, sounds and diffuser and can practice Grounding Techniques, and use Coloring Book, Journaling, Positive Affirmation Wall, Using Stress Balls, and more. We ask that you limit your time to 15 minutes and leave the room as you found it. To sign up, please see Ms. Lange, the counseling center secretary.
