Greetings, Mariners!
I would like to remind everyone how important it is to read emails that come from Mar Vista High School in addition to reading this newsletter. This is the best way admin, counselors, and teachers have to communicate with parents and students. I know sometimes you receive a lot of emails, but just remember that opportunities for scholarships, surveys to gather input, events, and important announcements are shared through email. You can also follow my principal account on Instagram @mvhprincipal. There are lots of great things happening at MVH!
Next weekend we will have a 3 day weekend for Labor Day with no Saturday School. Enjoy the long weekend!
Reminder! Parents and guardians, you have received emails regarding the Universal Benefit Applications (UBA) . Please fill out this form as soon as possible. This is the information that is used to determine how much federal funding Mar Vista High School receives and ALL students benefit from that funding. That is why we need ALL families to complete the form. Once you complete the form, you will be removed from the communications list and you will no longer receive reminders. Thank you for helping us with this.
Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend! GO MARINERS!
Sincerely,
Teresa Kramer

Here is the schedule for all Fall Athletic Teams.
Go Mariners!
We appreciate your continued support in reinforcing school expectations:
🕘 Attendance matters
📄 Students may not leave campus without an Off-Campus slip
🚫 We are a closed campus during the school day
🚻 Bathrooms are not gathering spaces
📵 No cell phones during instructional time
Your partnership helps us maintain a safe, focused, and respectful learning environment for all students
Students who attend school regularly are more likely to succeed academically.
Missing just 2 days a month adds up quickly.
These final two weeks are crucial for review, social connection, and preparing for next year.
Make school a priority every day until the last day.
Schedule appointments outside of school hours when possible.
Let us know if anything is preventing attendance—we're here to help!
