My name is Ms. Carson. Here's a little bit about me.
I grew up on the Central Coast of California. I attended college at the University of California Santa Barbara where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
I moved to San Diego in 2001 to pursue my teaching credential and later my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I began teaching in the Sweetwater Union High School District in 2002. During that time I have had the pleasure of working at Montgomery High, Chula Vista Middle, and as a resource teacher at the District Office. I'm excited to be back for my seventh year at Chula Vista High.
When I am not teaching I like to spend time with my two sons; age 8 and 10. As a family we love to head to the beach, go paddle boarding, and hike on local trails. We're also sports fans and love attending the San Diego Wave and SDFC matches, Dodger games or watching the 49ers.

Students need to join the class by using the "Join Code" sent to them by the teacher.
In accordance with district policy no cell phones are allowed to be used during class time. Students must place their phones in the boxes at the center of the desk. Boxes will be collected by the teacher and cell phones must remain there throughout the remainder of the class. Students who do not comply will have their phone confiscated and taken to the office where it will remain for a parent or guardian to pick up.
SUHSD Administrative Regulation 6146.1(a) requires that a minimum of 30 hours of non-paid community service to be performed by students as part of their graduation requirements.
For the community service criteria, guidelines, and forms please visit the Chula Vista High School website.
