Welcome to Montgomery Middle School's Dual Language Immersion Program! We are dedicated in providing an academic excellence experience of bilingual education for our students.

 Classes Curriculum (50-50 Model) 

At Montgomery Middle School, the Dual Language Program course sequence consists of two years of instruction in Spanish in 50% of the core content areas. The other 50% of the core content areas is in English.

Students who successfully complete the Dual Language Program course requirements in both middle school and high school with a minimum of 2.0 GPA are eligible to receive the High School Biliteracy Diploma. In Middle School, students will receive the Dual Program Ribbon of Distinction for the graduation ceremony.

To obtain the Bilingual Literacy Diploma you are required to:

1. Score "Standards Met" on the SBAC-ELA in 11th grade.

2. Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher in all English courses. As well as in the courses of the dual program.

 

In addition, the student must also take Language Arts (AP) and Literature (AP) in High School. To earn credit for the language requirements (A-G) applicable to a four-year college.
