AR Website for Students
Accelerated Reader is an online program that helps students and teachers manage and monitor independent reading practice.
Students pick a book at their own level and read it at their own pace. When students finish the book, they take a short quiz online to check their understanding.
As students read and take quizzes, they earn points and track their progress toward their individualized Accelerated Reader goals.
Parents, please encourage your student to read at home for at least 20 minutes every day. You can follow their AR Progress through AR Home Connect. You will need their ID number and 6-digit birthdate to log in.
Our library has thousands of fiction and nonfiction AR books for students to choose from, but they may also read books that are not from our library. Check the AR Book Finder website for the reading level and points information.
