Compact for Success is the systemic education initiative created to support the mission of the Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD). The primary elements of the program are to:
Institute academic rigor in the secondary schools that will better prepare students to be college-ready
Provide guaranteed admission to SDSU upon successful completion of the required benchmarks
Provide support to Compact Scholars and other SUHSD students so they can be successful at SDSU
The underlying premise of the Compact for Success is to show students the path to attend a college or university and to provide the support necessary to assure success at SDSU.
Students upon high school graduation must:
1) Meet the SUHSD residence requirement – continuous attendance from grades 9-12 in the Sweetwater Union High School District.
2) Clear English remediation or be on track to clear by the end of senior year.
3) Clear Math remediation or be on track to clear by the end of senior year.
4) Complete the A-G requirements with grades of “C” or higher by the end of senior year.
5) GPA (college-weighted) by the time of application and maintain through end of senior year
Class of 2026 - 3.3
Class of 2027 - 3.4
Class of 2028, 2029, 2030 - 3.5
6) Meet all SDSU admission/enrollment deadlines and requirements in the senior year, including:
a. Submitting a CSU application between October 1 and November 30 of senior year.
b. Must not have any D or F grades in ANY subject during senior year.
c. Submitting intent to enroll by May 1 of graduating year.
*Compact does not include Nursing or Visual/Performing Arts Majors.
