On March 7th, students and volunteers came together at Woodville Tomkins School for an exciting day filled with hands-on engineering activities. The event welcomed 133 students across all grade levels, including 18 high school students, 55 middle school students, and 60 elementary students, all eager to explore engineering through creativity and problem‑solving.
From Glow Circuit Bestie Bracelets and Operation Rock the Bridge to the ever-popular Flight Test Zip Line, students put their engineering skills to the test as they designed, built, and experimented throughout the day. The event kicked off with a lively Expo featuring 20 participating organizations and 9 event sponsors, giving students and parents the opportunity to explore local companies and connect with GEID supporters.
While students stayed busy with hands-on challenges, parents engaged in panel discussions, interactive activities, and Q&A sessions focused on engineering career pathways. None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of nearly 90 volunteers, whose time and enthusiasm helped make the day a success.
Thank you to our sponsors, teachers, volunteers, event coordinators, Expo participants, and—most importantly—the students for making GEID 2026 an unforgettable event!
Deadline Extended to April 30th
