About Us

Jeff Rone has been serving professionally as a choral director, adjudicator and clinician in central Ohio since 2002. He has been the Director of Vocal Music at Westland High School since the 2004-2005 school year and conducts all five choral groups.  Choirs under Jeff’s leadership have consistently performed with great success at OMEA District and State Large Group and Solo and Ensemble Contests.  While under Jeff’s direction, Westland choirs have performed in some of the most well-known performance spaces in Nashville, Gatlinburg, Disney World, and New York City.  His choirs have also worked with collegiate professors from Vanderbilt University, Moorehead State University, Muskingham University, Capital University, Otterbein University, and The Ohio State University.  Since Jeff began his tenure at Westland in 2004, the vocal music program has grown by 400%, and is now the largest vocal music programs in the South-Western City School District. Jeff frequently serves as an adjudicator and clinician for choirs in the central Ohio area.  

Jeff has also served as a church soloist, choir director and worship leader since 2002. Jeff is currently the Director of Contemporary Music at Hilliard United Methodist Church in Hilliard. Jeff has also provided worship leader training and served as a guest worship leader for many Columbus Area and West Ohio Conference UMC events. Worship teams under his leadership had the tremendous honor of leading worship services at the 2012 and 2013 Annual Conferences of the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. As a soloist, Jeff has performed throughout Central Ohio and the surrounding areas as a featured vocalist in various professional and church settings.

Jeff holds a Bachelor’s of Music Education with an emphasis in Choral Music and Vocal Performance from The Ohio State University, and a Master's Degree from the University of Cincinnati in Educational Leadership.

Mollie has been serving professionally as a choir director in central Ohio since 2014. Her experience includes teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choir as the Director of Vocal Music at Pleasant View Middle School and Holt-Crossing Intermediate School since 2015. In addition, she held the title of Assistant Choir Director at Central Crossing High School (2016-2021) and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Choirs at Westland High School.  

Under her tenure, Pleasant View’s Vocal Music program has ​demonstrated growth and musical success through community events, concerts, and OMEA contest performances. She continues to serve as a guest clinician and guest adjudicator for choral events in and around Central Ohio. 

Mollie earned her Bachelor’s in Music Education with an emphasis in Choral Music and a Minor in Dance from Otterbein University.
