Pleasant View Middle School is the largest 7-8 building in the South-Western City School District, housing approximately 900 students. Almost 40% of the school population is involved in a music ensemble, all of which meet daily during the school year. Band, Choir, and Orchestra students are split into grade level ensembles. Each ensemble presents 3-5 concerts per year, in addition to experiences at Solo and Ensemble events. Our 8th grade ensembles also participate in the OMEA Large Group Adjudicated Event. In past years, the bands, choirs, and orchestras at PVMS have shared concerts with the following ensembles: Central Crossing High School Band/Orchestras/Choirs, Westland High School Bands/Orchestras/Choirs, Norton Middle School Bands and Orchestras, and the Grove City Community Winds.
