Important Reminders
You must have a physical to try out for volleyball. Do not wait until the last minute to get one. You will not be allowed to try out if you do not have the physical by August 1st.
Summer is not mandatory but it will show whether you are dedicated to the program and how hard you are willing to work.
Summer workout does not guarantee a spot on the team.
Youth camp is for anyone to improve skills. We strongly urge anyone who wants to play for Beulah Park to attend this camp.
Conditioning is not mandatory, but strongly recommended. The more conditioned we are going into practice, the less we have to worry about conditioning and the more we can focus on skills.
Things are subject to change. Please be flexible. If you know ahead of time that you are going to be out of town for vacation please let one of the coaches know.
Tryouts are mandatory. You MUST be at tryouts to make a team. Please see a coach, if you have questions about this.
The more times you touch the ball, the better you will become!
We cannot wait to see you this summer! We cannot reiterate enough, the more often you come the better you will be.
Volleyball Shoes:
Please wear tennis shoes to open gym and conditioning. These do not need to be volleyball specific. We prefer that you do not wear converse shoes. Some of our conditioning will take place outside. If you do not want to wear your court shoes outside, please bring a change of shoes.
Please do not wear jeans to open gym and conditioning. This makes it very difficult to run and move around on the court.
Knee Pads:
Knee Pads are not mandatory for summer work out but they are beneficial and can help prevent injuries. Below is a link to an example of one OPTION you could choose for knee pads.
Drop off/Pick Up Times:
It is important that you are dropped off on time, and picked up on time following open gym and conditioning. Coaches will NOT leave girls alone at the school. We wait for all girls to be picked up. Please be considerate of our time as well.
