While we are out of school.........................
I would like to make a few suggestions about keeping busy while we are away from school. First, please follow the directions of your classroom teacher and complete what has been asked of you...to the best of your ability.
If you have difficulty, please don't worry about it, just try your best. Keeping up with your reading is very important, you can read books or do some online reading with your Raz Kids account. Writing a journal about this time at home could also be interesting for you. Writing about the weather and activities you have been doing with your family would also be good ideas. You may even want to add some pictures that we can share once we return to school.
Going outside and noticing the changes that have taken place now that it is Spring would also be fun. Making some drawings of what you see, would be great to share later. I have been noticing lots of robins in my yard, I'm thinking they are looking for worms, do you agree ?

I would like to welcome you to my Google Site, I hope you are able to spend some time on the activities I have listed.
This year, I will be teaching first grade and second grade Literacy groups. In addition, I will be co-teaching second grade math with Ms. Spears . I look forward to a very busy and productive school year.
I have been teaching for over 25 years, over the years I have taught several different grade levels. Becoming a teacher was a dream I had as a little girl. I am so grateful I was able to become one.
I have two children, my daughter, Emily lives in New York City and my son, Jesse started sixth grade this year.
