Accommodating Disabilities. Special Diets, and Allergies
Food service staff at all schools will gladly work with you and your child to accommodate disabilities, special diets, and allergies by making food substitutions or modifications. A written medical statement signed by a licensed physician or a State recognized medical authority must be provided to the school. The medical statement must include:
1. The child's disability
2. An explanation of why the disability restricts the child's diet
3. The major life activity or major bodily function affected by the disability
4. The foods to be omitted from the child's diet, and the foods that must be substituted.
Please contact the food service department if you have further questions.
Until we get to know your child, please let us know when your child is planning on eating school meals. We want to be sure students are given the correct meal. Thank you!
Families can use the menu to check for items including an allergy ingredient. Take the following steps:
Open menu
Select "Filter" located on top right
Select the allergy and close
Now any item containing the allergen on the menu will be crossed off.
Food substitutions can happen. If you have a question or concern, please contact the Food Director.
