341.1 Pre-Calculus with Trigonometry, Advanced College Preparatory, 11th grade, Full Year, 5.00 credits
This course will prepare students for a college-level calculus course. The aim is to educate the student in the nature of mathematics as a logical system. There will be a review of linear, quadratic, rational, radical, exponential and logarithmic equations, functions and graphs. Other topics will include trigonometric functions and their inverses, trigonometric equations and identities; elementary operations on vectors; conics; and sequences and series.
Students are given daily assignments and should expect to spend as much as 45 minutes per night completing them.
A graphing calculator is required. TI- 84 Plus is recommended.
