The Whitstable School uses a portal called EduLink One that provides an integrated school information platform which draws together a range of existing schools systems with an engaging user interface and allows parents to communicate and access information about their child in one place.

A child’s personal data merits particular protection under the new data protection law which came into effect in May 2018. Parents with Parental Responsibility will be provided with a login for EduLink as the software provides access and editing functionality to a child’s personal data. Note: If the school has not been able to verify Parental Responsibility for a parent, evidence in the form of a birth certificate will be requested.
Parents will receive their username and password via email. Both a username and password are required to log into EduLink.
EduLink can be accessed on any device – PC, laptop, tablet or mobile device – via the web browser or via the EduLink app. The link to access the EduLink login page on a web browser is www.edulinkone.com
The EduLink app is available to download for free on Apple or on Android.
Both the app and the web browser will display this log-in screen.
The School ID is ‘TWS’.
Enter the Username and Password that have been sent to you and click ‘Log in’.

Parents can access information on all their children currently admitted to The Whitstable School.
Guidance on changing the initial password is provided below.
Parents are advised to change their initial password at first log-in.

The Whitstable School advises all parents to use strong passwords to protect the confidential personal information contained within EduLink. Parents should also avoid using obvious choices of passwords, such as the name of your child or pet, as someone could find such information elsewhere.
Never disclose your password to another individual, whether this be a family member or other individual, for any reason. If you think that someone else knows your password, change it immediately.
Parents can change their password in the web browser and in the app by clicking on the settings cog alongside their name and selecting ‘Change Password’. The old password should be entered and a new password entered twice before clicking the ‘Update’ button.
The ‘Personal Details’ area of EduLink displays the student’s information.
These details cannot be amended in the ‘Personal Details’ area.
A parent can request that their child’s details are amended in the ‘Update Personal Details’ area of EduLink.
The Achievement area of EduLink displays the child’s achievement information.
The ‘Attendance’ area of EduLink displays the child’s statutory attendance data by month and by academic year.
A parent can view their child’s attendance data by month and by academic year. In the web browser, a parent can click on ‘Statutory Month’ or ‘Statutory Academic Year’ to view the relevant data.
In the app, a parent can swipe over ’Statutory Month’ or ‘Statutory Academic Year’ to change the view.
In the app, a parent can switch between their children using the arrows next to the student's name.
The 'Calendar' area of EduLink displays the same calendar found on the school website.
The ‘Contacts’ area of EduLink displays a parent’s own information.
These details cannot be amended in the ‘Contacts’ area.
A parent can request that their details are amended in the ‘Update Personal Details’ area of EduLink.
In the 'Documents' area of EduLink, parents will find the progress reports when they are published.
In the 'Links' area of EduLink, parents will find shortcuts to useful websites.
Parents can make bookings for a parents evening by logging in clicking on the Parents’ Evening menu icon and then clicking on the event.
Parents will then see a table (desktop/tablet version) of all the teachers they can make bookings for along the top and slot times down the side
To make a booking for a teacher parents can just click/tap on an available slot (white) a popup will appear allowing parents to enter an optional note to the teacher, and then just click the book button.
Once a booking has been made, the slot will change green and a green tick will appear next to the teachers name. To unbook the slot parents should click on the slot again and an option to unbook will appear. Slots which are unavailable will appear greyed out with a “X” in the middle.
A parent can only have one slot with each member of staff. If parents require a double slot only the teacher can do this by “blocking” the following slot. If parents attempt to make another booking with the same teacher the existing booking will be moved to the new slot time.
The ‘Timetable’ area of EduLink displays the student’s class timetable.
In the web browser, a parent can click on the relevant day of the week to view their child’s timetable for that day of the week.
In the app, a parent can swipe over the day to change the day of the week.
A parent can use the drop down menu which defaults to ‘This week’ to view the following week’s timetable.
In the app, a parent can switch between their children’s timetables using the arrows next to the student's name.
