"We are excited to announce that we will be offering free graze grass-fed beef either Angus, Angus sired, or Hereford, for sale by the whole cow, 1/2 cow, or 1/4 cow. We will post a market date on what we will have available and it will be on a first come first serve basis. The price will be per pound and will vary depending upon market cost at the time of slaughter. Currently, it is $7.25 a pound. We require a non-refundable deposit of $250 to reserve and guarantee your spot (which will be deducted from the final cost). The remaining balance will be due upon the pickup of beef. The cost of $7.25lb includes processing, a $220 slaughter fee, packing and boxing fees plus butcher services tax and fees. The hanging weight is the weight of the carcass before it is processed into individual cuts. Your take-home weight of meat will be about 15%-20% less depending on how much moisture is removed in the dry-aging process. The meat will come vacuum sealed and frozen."
