GRADUATION DAY OF CLASS 2023

Last Wednesday, SWA was buzzing with excitement as the Class of 2023 celebrated their graduation. It was a big day that brought together students, families, and teachers to honour the graduates' achievements. Everyone wore big smiles on their faces, ready to celebrate the joyous day together and the SWA community lined up to applaud the graduates during their entrance procession from Zheng He to the Trini Dewi Theatre. This momentous day is filled with emotions as the students' hard work and achievements are recognised.

SWA Chairman, Mr. Anton, gave a powerful analogy of a tree to all the graduates: "Grow like a tree, just as a tree starts as a sapling and grows to become a towering force of nature. Growing like a tree means achieving success and staying grounded and connected to your values, beliefs, and community. As you go out into the world, continue to challenge your thoughts, techniques, and never stop learning. The world needs passionate, driven individuals like you to make a positive impact and create a brighter future."

Graduation day at Sinarmas World Academy is a reflection of the shared journey between the graduates and the school community. With immense pride, the school witnesses the growth and development of each student, thanks to the support and guidance of parents, teachers, staff, and fellow classmates. The day was also a celebration of the Class of 2023's remarkable achievements. 62% of the class of 2023 received university scholarships, 54% of the class of 2023 gained admission to a top 50 university in the world, and 70% got into a top 100 university in the world. 

Congratulations Class of 2023 on this significant milestone in your lives!

TERM 4 STUDENT REPORT PICK-UP

All Term 4 Reports will be physically collected by parents/guardians at SWA’s campus on Thursday, 15 June 2023. Parents/Guardians will enter SWA campus by car and then be directed to the appropriate pickup location by staff. The Report Card pick up process will be drive-thru in style. 

Vehicles will enter in the normal location near the Arts Lobby door where staff will collect names of students so that reports can be prepared and quickly collected after driving through the underground parking structure.

For safety reasons, please note the steps to follow: 

Pick-up by Parents

Step 1: Facemask/face-shield is mandatory

Step 2: Show Parent’s SWA ID to the Admin upon pick-up

Pick-up by Guardian (registered in SWA)

Step 1: Facemask/face-shield is mandatory

Step 2: Bring the required documents to be shown to Admin upon pick-up;

• ‘Power of Attorney’ letter with stamp and signed by the Parent

• Guardian’s SWA ID

Note: Guardian may only take the report card upon presentation of all the required documents above

Pickup times for reports on Thursday, 15 June 2023, are as follows. Note families with students in EYES and MSHS can come at either time. Please send an email to the admin support (eyes_admin@swa-jkt.com / mshs_admin@swa-jkt.com) for another appointment if you will not be able to pick up the report on the designated schedule below. 

TERM 4 PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE

We are looking forward to meeting you in the Term 4 Parent Teacher Conference on Friday, 16 June 2023. 

Parents may now create the PTC booking for Term 4 through their SAP Fiori account. Please be guided by the tutorials (information sheet and video) and book on or before 15 June 2023 at 12:00 pm. Parents may contact Admin Support (eyes_admin@swa-jkt.com / mshs_admin@swa-jkt.com) for questions or clarification. 

LIBRARY CORNER

Library clearance reminder

The students may be sent an invoice to cover costs of any unreturned books. These could be either lost or returned damaged. Please do not hesitate to contact the Library Team for support.

Library Club

Hosting a library club in period 9 is a fun opportunity to assist children in expanding their knowledge and fostering a love for reading. By encouraging leisure reading, it is crucial to ensure that children can conveniently access a wide variety of books. To enable them to find the books they want to read, they need to know and understand how the library works, explore its various sections, and feel at home in the library.

Moreover, all the library club members also have the chance to design their very own club pin. Among the designs submitted, Daphne’s (Grade 4) was chosen to be printed.
