Jeremy A. Skelton is the Director of Choral Activities and Performing Arts Department Chair at Silver Creek High School. He has been teaching choral music since 2001, and is in his 19th year at Silver Creek. Prior to Colorado, Mr. Skelton taught in New York City and Shenandoah, IA. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from Florida State University.
Mr. Skelton is passionate about choral music and strives to create opportunities for students and audiences to share in that passion. Through diverse repertoire and high musical expectations, Mr. Skelton encourages his students to reach new artistic heights and to find connections that bring the music to life. His goal is to foster a strong community of singers and parents that will not only be coinsurers of choral music, but promoters of it as well.
Out of the classroom, you can find Mr. Skelton playing hammered dulcimer, disc golf, and singing in Cantabile, a Boulder based choir. Mr. Skelton hails from Omaha, NE and frequently travels back there to visit family and friends. He enjoys playing old time and bluegrass music with his family band that includes his mom, sister, and 2 nephews.
Don feels privileged to be working with the choral program at Silver Creek High School. For the past 30 years, Don has been working in the northern Colorado area, accompanying high school groups as well as music directing and playing piano for musical productions. He holds a Music Ministry degree from Cincinnati Bible College and is currently the music director at Lakewood Evangelical Lutheran Latvian Church. In his spare time, Don likes to go to movies and live theatre.
