Business Description

The Silver Creek Print and Engraving shop is a student run business provided through the Silver Creek Business Education Department.

Our mission is to provide students a hands on opportunity to run a business in a school setting with guidance from the supervising teacher. As part of the Business Capstone program, the print/engraving shop is run as a for profit business allowing students to experience the following business functions.

• Marketing
• Manufacturing
• Scheduling
• Inventory control
• Pricing
• Sales
• Management
• Design
• Entrepreneurship

Students in the Silver Creek Business program take a comprehensive business education class schedule with three possible areas of emphasis.

1. Management
2. Entrepreneurship
3. Marketing

After completing the required upper level classes in the area of emphasis, students take the Business Capstone class. This class allows students to work as an intern in local cooperating businesses, with local area mentors, or as a member of the Silver Creek Print and Engraving Shop. The Capstone program is the culminating course in the business program and once completed, students receive the Business Program medallion at graduation and are listed as Business Program Completer's.
