All 4th and 5th grade students are invited and encouraged to join the
Red Hawk Chili Peppers Elementary School choir!
Choir is an extracurricular singing group that will meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school in the music room from 8:00-8:55 beginning September 87h. All students will have rehearsal on September 8th and 10th. The students will then be divided into two groups, a Tuesday morning group and a Thursday morning group. Rehearsals in September, October and parts of November are divided into two groups. Beginning November 11th, all students will come both days.
The choir will have 2 performances this year: a concert on December 9th,
and the Erie Choir Festival on Match 13th.

and about Newsies Jr. production.
The fall fee for choir is $35, which covers the cost of music and
includes a t-shirt that we will wear at our performances.
If you need assistance with the fee, please contact me.

If your student is hesitant about joining choir or unsure if choir is something they would enjoy, please help me to encourage them by “trying it out” the first week. If after the first week they decide it’s not for them, then that’s okay but at least they made an informed decision and maybe they would like to try it again for the next concert. Attendance at rehearsals is important so if your student is absent from school please indicate when calling to excuse your student from school that you also need to excuse them from choir.
**There is 100 Mile Club in mornings. Your student can participate in both groups,
but they are expected to attend rehearsals on their assigned days,
participating in running club on the other mornings that it is offered. J
