Unit 1: What is Cybersecurity? (5 weeks) 

This module gives an introduction to cybersecurity. It focuses on why cybersecurity is important, recent threats to cybersecurity, and different careers in the field.   

Unit 2: Digital Citizenship and Cyber Hygiene (9 weeks)

This unit includes topics on Internet etiquette and how to stay safe on the world wide web. We will also look at the potential effects of our digital footprints, how to protect information from online risks, and the implications of cyberbullying.  

Unit 3: Information Literacy (3 weeks)

This unit includes how to do effective internet searches, find reliable resources, cite quality resources online and how the different copyright licences apply in real life.

Create a PSA Final Project (1 week) 

Students create a Public Service Announcement (PSA) to teach their peers about digital citizenship and cyber hygiene.
