Chromebook Rule and Procedures

General Precautions
No food or drink allowed next to Chromebook Cords, cables, and removable storage devices must be inserted and removed correctly from Chromebooks Never store or carry Chromebook with the power cord plugged in Never carry Chromebook by the screen or while the screen is open Never close Chromebook with paper or folders (or any object) in between the screen and keyboard Chromebooks and protective shells must remain free of any writing, drawing, or stickers. Vents cannot be covered SVUSD asset tags and product serial number tags are not ​be removed at any time from the Chromebooks Chromebooks should never be left in a car or unsupervised area Students are responsible for bringing a completely ​charged Chromebook to school each day Always carry Chromebook with two hands, with the screen closed, and supported from the bottomDo not lean or put pressure on the Chromebook while it is closed whether on a desk or in the case or backpack Chromebook must be in the protective shells at all times when being transported. Do not store papers, pencils, earbuds, or other objects inside a Chromebook caseStudents may put an address label on their chargers for identification purposesWhen charging a chromebook at home, please find a safe spot away from pets, food and drink, falling hazards, and the possibility of someone tripping over the charging cable. A fully drained Chromebook battery takes approximately 2 ½ hours to recharge. ​
