Mathematics:

Writing

  • "If I were in space for the day" writing activity. Have students write and draw a picture of what it would be like to be in space for the day. Students may share their thoughts and pictures once completed.

Science/ Social Studies:

  • Community Worker Activity

Day 3

  • Practice writing letters of the alphabet

  • 20 minutes on Study Island- Math

  • Addition and Subtraction to 5 and 10 Activity

  • Practice writing numbers

Writing

  • Use writing worksheets: "I saw an alien and...." Have students write about what they would do if they saw an alien and draw a picture. Students may share writing and pictures with class.

Science/ Social Studies:

  • Identify space objects activity

Day 4

Language Arts:

Mathematics:

Writing

  • Visualization writing activity. Have students visualize about what they believe their teacher is doing and write about it. Students can share their picture and writing with the class.

Science/ Social Studies:

  • Watch Sid the Science Kid via Netflix. (Discuss and ask questions to students throughout the show to ensure kids are engaged.)

Day 5

Language Arts:

Mathematics:

  • Math Wall

  • 20 minutes on Study Island- Math

  • Space Patterns - Review the type of patterns with students

  • Practice writing numbers

Writing

  • Provide students with "Story Writing Paper" and direct them to write about their favorite animal. Ask them to explain why this animal is their favorite. When finished writing students may draw a picture. Once completed students may share their writing and picture. Make a list of what animals students have selected and tally for students who have the same.

Science/ Social Studies:

  • Students can watch a Magic School Bus episode via Netflix. (Discuss topics and ask questions to students during the episode to ensure they are engaged.)
