A Letter from Our CEO

Jason Williams

2022 was a testament to what SVP Boston can accomplish when we set our mind to it. The year of our 20th Anniversary demonstrated that the work we have been doing since our founding in 2002, and the network and community that we have created together, are as strong and impactful as ever. In May, we hosted our 20th Anniversary celebration, the largest and most successful SVP Boston event to date, with guests and speakers from every part of the SVP Boston network. At this celebration, we launched our Amplify The Impact fundraising campaign, which resulted in the most individual donors beyond our partners in SVP Boston History. All together, it has shown the tremendous strength and impact of our membership and team. And, given the exponential increase in interest from other nonprofit organizations and leaders to join SVP Boston’s investment portfolio once again, it’s critical we keep this momentum going.

As we begin 2023, there’s a lot in store for our organization, which is why we have dubbed it the Year of Engagement - and we’re so excited for you to see what we’ve been working on!  As members and friends of SVP Boston, you can look forward to new communications, events, and more, all through the lens of our recently adopted Social Impact Priority Framework. SVP Boston is further refining and deepening its focus on the social causes we seek to address through our grantmaking - unrestricted capacity building grants and consulting, education programs and convenings, and transformative collaboration with innovative nonprofit organizations and leaders across Greater Boston.

Social Venture Partners Boston • New Social Impact Priority Framework

Combining this new framework with an investment portfolio, membership, and network of supporters and friends that is larger and stronger than ever, 2023 can and will be another incredible year for SVP Boston!  We hope you not only enjoy navigating through our 2022 Annual Report, but join us in celebrating once again all that we accomplished together last year while also ushering in our Year of Engagement - a 2023 defined by greater levels of engagement through our expanding community and, most of all, deepening impact.  Thank you!

With hope and determination,
