Activity 4

Grade 2-

Go to the San Franscisco Orchestra's site:  http://www.sfskids.org/classic/templates/instorchframe.asp?pageid=3

Click on the instruments of the orchestra tab and read about the Percussion family and listen to each instrument of the Percussion family.

Kindergarten/Grade 1  Choose a song to listen to.  Use the My Music Listening Log below to verbally discuss your answers with an adult.

Grade 2-

Click on the instruments of the orchestra tab and read about the BRASS family and listen to each instrument of the brass  family.

Kindergarten and 1st Grade-  Loud/soft scavenger hunt.  You can use a piece of paper or the file attached below to search for 10 loud sounding things and 10 soft sounding things around the house or outside with your parents.  No need to send completed paper in.
