Welcome to 2nd Grade!

I am thrilled to be working with your child this year. I have an exciting year planned full of opportunities for learning and growing. In addition to ELA (reading and writing) and math concepts, your child will be learning about many aspects of life including; self, home, family, and community throughout the year. In addition to working with your child I also look forward to working with each and every parent. I view parents as partners in the education process. Children learn by experiencing and doing. We will focus on instruction that builds a strong basis to allow each student to be a thinker and a doer.

Activities emphasize verbal interaction and listening, reading, writing, math, problem solving and thinking skills.

My goal is to maximize the development of the whole child through age appropriate experiences that foster academic success.
