Grading Policy

1) Bellringers & Exit Tickets: -Bellringers will be opening questions/activities that students will complete in the beginning of class.

-Exit Tickets will be completed at the end of a lesson. Exit Tickets will be completed and sometimes handed in for a grade.

-Bellringers and Exit Tickets will not be eligible for corrections.

2) Homework:

Students should expect homework throughout the week. I do not believe in giving homework on the weekends, unless there is a project that needs to get done.  At the beginning of each in-person class period homework will be checked for completeness (amount of effort) and students will be awarded a 0, 1, or 2 points. I will only accept late homework up to 1 day after the due date. (Absences will be taken into account)

2= assignment is fully completed with obvious effort

1 = assignment was not completed entirely/late assignment

0 = assignment was not turned in or blank when checked

3) Quizzes: (approx. 15-20 points each)

Students will be given notice before each quiz, and each quiz will be relevant to the most recent topic we are studying.

Tests:

Tests will be given on occasion depending on the unit length. Tests are weighted a little heavier than quizzes.

4) Projects

There will be some projects that students will complete. I will give time in class to start them, but they will be worked on at home too. The due date will be given to students the day the project is introduced. Participation will have an effect with partner projects & will be part of the grade.

(The latest I will take a project will be 2 days after the due date, after that they will not be accepted. If the project is turned in late, there will be a 5 point deduction for each day it is late. It will be a zero if it is not turned in after the two day period)
