Grading Policy

RESOURCE DOES NOT RECEIVE GRADES OR HOMEWORK!!

Progress notes on each IEP goal are sent home each quarter 

with the grade reports.

Students are encouraged to read anytime they have spare time at home or at school. 

My grade book is set up using a weighted system.  This means some things are weighed more heavily than others when averaging out grades.  

Participation/Notes: 25

IXL/Activities: 25

Quizzes (given frequently): 50

Attendance, participation, and practice are very important. This is what helps students learn, improve, and retain their math skills. When students participate in the daily lesson and practice the skills frequently, their quiz scores will naturally improve. 

Practice problems may be assigned and instead of receiving a "homework grade", students who complete the practice will be given "Bonus points" towards quiz grades.

Quiz corrections may be permitted on occasion.

I fill in grades regularly in school tools, so you can monitor student grades via parent/student portal.
