Hello!  I'm Mrs. Thomas.  Let me tell you a little bit about myself:

Long ago, after growing up with two wonderful parents that were both teachers, I decided that I loved being around children and wanted to become a teacher.  I graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a BS degree in Elementary Education (nursery school through grade 6) and then received my MS degree in reading (K-12) from SUNY Cortland.  Fortunately, I was hired the summer after I graduated from college and started my career teaching first grade in Sauquoit. What made it even more special is that I was starting my career in the very school I had attended as a child! 

I have had the good fortune of working with the wonderful children of Sauquoit Valley for over thirty years!  During this time, I have taught first and second grade and also spent one year working in a special assignment with third graders in math and reading. 

My goal is to make learning fun and I hope to make a positive difference in the lives of all "my" children. I will do my very best to help your child learn and grow as we work together to provide a successful year in second grade.  :)
