Our Policies

Below are policies adopted by our Board of Directors to ensure the success of the project.

1. Single-use items (tampons, pads, GermX, paper shower) can be requested regularly. Items designed for multi-day use (shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc.) may only be requested once every two-weeks (14 days).

2. Students may only request items for themselves. If the email address submitted on the request form does not match the student name requesting items, the request will not be honored.

3. All community-donated items will be marked with the month and year of donation and the letter "D".

4. Students must agree to the following disclosure before requesting items: I am requesting the items listed above and I understand any medical/allergic reaction I may have to a product is not the responsibility of the school/Essentials Project. This statement intends to protect all those involved in the project in the event that a student has an allergic reaction to an item.

5. The Essentials Project will help junior high and high school students with needs outside the standard supplies of items, not to exceed $25 per student, and $250 per year for all students. Students who are supported with individual purchases can only receive one purchase per school year. The types of items that may be purchased for individuals includes, but are not limited to: shoes, coats, etc.
