We had a great first day of school! We read the book "First Day Jitters" by Julie Danneberg. Then we made some Jitter Juice to help our jitters go away.
It has been a fantastic start to the school year! We have had so much fun learning how to do our daily math and reading centers!
We did some many fun things this month! We ate yummy apple butter that the Outdoorsman club made, carved pumpkins and dressed up for our Halloween party.
In November we learned about Native American and Pilgrims. We learn what the first Thanksgiving was like and the voyage on the Mayflower. We learn about how the Native Americans lived and survived. We made beads out of dough and painted them.
In December we were busy, busy, busy! We practiced for our Christmas program, went fishing for 10 in math and Justus read a book to our class. He did such a good job! We did lots of Christmas art and decorated our classroom and tree. Mrs. Dorris' class came and read The Night Before Christmas.
We learned about polar animals in January and why blubber is so important. Mr. Sample came by and showed us a bear hide and skull from his hunting trip in Canada.
