SUU Day of Dance 2024
The SUU Department of Theatre, Dance, and Arts Administration welcomes you to our campus for an action-packed DAY OF DANCE for high school students and prospective incoming Dance/Dance Education Majors.
This event is open to all high school-level dancers (not just seniors!) and free for all participants.

12:00 - 1:15 pm Prospective SUU Student Scholarship Applicant Interviews w/ Faculty (MC 116 A)
1:15 - 1:45 pm Lunch Break
2:00 pm: Attendance of SUU production of Sweet Charity Matinee & post-show Q&A (Randall Jones Theater)
Check-in will begin at 8:30am. Please complete the registration and liability forms prior to your arrival (see above). Workshops** taught by SUU Dance Faculty and optional one-one interviews with prospective freshman scholarship applicants will take place 9:00am - 12:30pm. Following lunch, participants will be guided to the Randall Jones Theatre for a complimentary viewing of CHICAGO at 2:00pm. A Q&A with SUU Dance Faculty and current students will directly follow the performance.
Check-in and morning classes will take place on SUU's campus in the Multipurpose Center Rm 116. Please view SUU's campus map for more information.
It is recommended for participants to come prepared with ballet slippers, socks, and jazz shoes, though socks will suffice for selected classes. Participants will also need to provide a water bottle and their own lunch.

**There are inherent risks when dancing with/out others. Risks may include: dehydration, exhaustion, floor burns, unplanned physical contact with another, cramping, blisters, splits in the feet, and dizziness.
