Champion better mental health!
The Daily Mile Foundation and Place2Be join forces to champion better mental health for children
The Daily Mile is teaming up with Place2Be, a leading organisation committed to supporting children's mental health. Together, we're joining hands for Mental Health Awareness Week, highlighting the essential role of daily physical activity in boosting the health and wellbeing of our children.
This year's theme, 'Moving more for our mental health', highlights how important physical activity is for better mental wellbeing. Place2Be emphasises that regular movement, like doing The Daily Mile, can boost self-esteem, improve sleep quality, and reduce feelings of anxiety. Even short bursts of activity can increase mental alertness, energy levels, and overall mood!
National Weeks - Get involved!
YST National School Sports Week
Monday 17 to Sunday 23 June 2024
This year's theme, powered by Sports Direct's Monster Kickabout, brings a special one-off Euro 2024 event that emphasises football as a means to engage young people in 60 minutes a day of PE, sport and play. Partnering with Nike, the campaign aims to ‘put the all back into football’ while promoting fun, inclusivity, and the importance of regular physical activity.
By registering, schools will receive FREE equipment, resources, lesson plans, classroom activities co-designed by young people for young people.
We will be bringing all your favourite sports and school subjects together through football, helping teachers host a week long National School Sports Week celebration encouraging young people to get their 60 minutes a day of PE, sport and play!
PLUS, be in with a chance to WIN an Athlete Mentor visit and £250 Sports Directory Voucher for your school. Simply register for National School Sport Week.
