Nasen’s ambitious Universal SEND Services programme – funded by the Department for Education and delivered through Whole School SEND – aims to develop the education workforce so that learners’ needs are identified and met effectively, resulting in a more inclusive mainstream system, and leading to improved Preparation for Adulthood, including pathways to employment.
A number of exciting SEND CPD opportunities are available, including a series of 20 Online SEND CPD units exploring some of the most commonly observed barriers to learning regardless of age, label or area of need.

Funded by the DfE, the Early Years SEND Partnership provides practitioners and parents with training and resources to improve access and inclusion in the early years for children with SEN and disabilities.

Contact is one of nine not-for-profit organisations that make up Autism Central. A project providing parents and carers of autistic people with autism training and support across England.
Facebook group and Q&A sessions
You can also direct parents and carers to Contact's closed Facebook group. Home to over 22,000 members, it’s a welcoming space for support and advice, plus regular Q&A sessions with our experts on topics including benefits and education.

The Anti Bullying Alliance Network are working with the DfE responding to anti bullying surveys for children in schools. They have developed free online anti bullying training for schools. The programme was particularly developed to reduce levels of bullying of disabled children and those with special educational needs (SEN) but applies to all children.

The statutory duty to deliver the RSHE curriculum came into force on 1 September, with flexibility to implement allowed until the summer term 2021. Please find attached some free resources available to support teachers of pupils with SEND in delivering the new curriculum, provided by the DfE
