A Unitarian Universalist upbringing opened her eyes and mind to the reality that God speaks and reveals Himself in many ways. This part of her journey also opened he spirit to the possibility that God would seek her. It happened at a Baptist youth retreat. Jesus spoke to Helen and she answered him.
Baptized in the Lutheran church, Helen felt the richness of liturgy and worship. Interning in the United Church of Christ, she learned the blessing of reaching out in action. The United Methodist church brought faith and works together for her.
Saying yes to the Savior has led Helen through 44 years, 35 in the pastoral ministry in the United Methodist Church. Through it all, she has seen that in all things and at all times, God is great, Jesus is Lord, and the Spirit continues to call all.
