Learning

Learning at Susquenita High School centers around our students. They use technology to extend learning outside of the reach of the classroom. Students show mastery of learning through creativity and collaboration to prepare them for the multiple paths they can pursue in their post academic career.

Teachers are provided synchronous and asynchronous opportunities to develop their technology skills and integration practices. Free Apple Professional Learning opportunities are used as well as in person and virtual APL for our Vanguard groups. Three teachers have received Apple Certified Learning Coach recognition and are already planning to implement Coaching Cycles in the 2022-2023 school year. Finally, teachers use our LMS to create professional learning opportunities focused around “Everyone Can Create” and many other tech infused learning choices.

Our school is able to support student and teacher professional learning through a strongly designed infrastructure system. Teachers are supported in a 2:1 MacBook, iPad technology implementation with students in a 1:1 iPad implementation. Teachers and students are equipped with Apple TV’s in classrooms and learning spaces throughout the school to collaborate with one another. Mac Labs are used throughout the school and in the library Media Center to allow students an even deeper technology integration.
