Mr. Akhbari

After graduating from Bayside High School in New York City, Mr. Akhbari received his bachelor’s degree in Labor Studies from Queen College NYC. Spending a decade in the business world before he moved to beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona where he continued his education earning a teaching degree and later his Masters of Arts in Education. He began his professional career in Paradise Valley Unified School District’s Pinnacle High School as a teacher of history, economic and business. While at Pinnacle High School, He earned his school Administrative Certification and was hired by Scottsdale Unified School District’s Saguaro High School as Assistant Principal for Student Services. He is extremely proud of my time at Saguaro High School and later transferred to Kiva Elementary to expand his knowledge of child development in the educational setting. In 2013, he moved to Cheyenne Traditional School.

For him, one of the most exciting aspects of being a school administrator is creating an environment where learning --- and all the life-changing effects that creates --- can happen and be fostered. He has been lucky to work with some great Principals and have learned how important it is for the school’s administration to create the conditions under which teachers can teach and students can learn.
