Dr. Lourenco is a Special Education teacher at Scottsdale School District since August 2015. For 14 years, she has been teaching students with a diverse range of special needs. She has taught in Florida, New York and Arizona. She has taught students from early childhood to middle school age. Dr. Lourenco received her Doctoral degree on August 2007 from Nova Southeastern University, Florida. Her degree is in Child and Youth Studies with a minor in Special Education. She received a BA and MA in Psychology and Social Psychology from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

She is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
