Mrs. Cavanaugh received a B.A. in Psychology from Millersville University and B.A. in Education from Arizona ASU. She started teaching science at Mohave Middle School in 2000. She is a strong advocate of hands-on, inquiry-based learning and the use of technology. She is committed to engaging students at the highest level with a variety of hands on activities that require critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication. She brings science lessons to life with real world application. She was the AMLA teacher of the year in 2004 & 2009 and Charros Outstanding Educator (2007).
