Dr. Covert joined Anasazi Elementary in 2018. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in teacher education from Grove City College, she enjoyed teaching first grade in Canal Winchester Local Schools for seven years. During that time, she attended The Ohio State University and earned her Masters Degree in education. She went on to complete her Doctoral Degree in Early Childhood Education with a focus on literacy and teacher development.
