Mr. Diaz

Mr. Diaz started his teaching career at Tavan Elementary in 2005, where he has taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and now teaches 5th grade. Mr. Diaz earned his Bachelors of Art in English from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an Early Childhood Development Associates Degree from Scottsdale Community College. Mr. Diaz completed his Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification at Scottsdale Community College. He currently specializes in working with English Language Learners, providing specialized interventions for them. Mr. Diaz has been in charge of Tavan’s Student Council for the last three years, and his natural curiosity about the world has led him to offer extracurricular classes in science, engineering, and math.
