Business Education Courses

What are Career and Technical Education (CTE) Courses?

Career and Technical Education (CTE) is a planned sequence of courses and learning experiences that begins with the exploration of career options, supports basic academic and life skills, and enables achievement of high academic standards, leadership, preparation for industry-defined work, pre-apprenticeship programs, and advanced and continuing education. Along with specific class disciplines, students will learn the skills, ethics and expectations of working in today's competitive global economy.

All CTE courses are aligned to the state standards and SOL's. Leadership is an integral part of all CTE programs. Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club is open to all Surry County High School CTE students.
