Interests and Specialities
I am passionate about fostering innovative, inclusive learning environments where technology serves as a catalyst for deep engagement and authentic learning experiences. My teaching philosophy centers on student agency and meaningful integration of digital technologies across curriculum areas.
Through a structured play-based learning approach, I create opportunities for diverse learners to explore STEM concepts through hands-on, tactile experiences that promote social interaction and collaborative problem-solving. I champion STEM education as an integrative framework that connects learning areas in purposeful, real-world contexts, utilizing methodologies including Project-Based Learning, Inquiry Learning, and Design Thinking.
My expertise encompasses "Coding to Learn"—an approach that contextualizes programming within curiosity-driven, meaningful projects rather than isolated skill development. I implement robotics education across all age groups, helping students grasp fundamental concepts such as inputs and outputs through engaging, kinesthetic experiences with platforms including Lego Education and CS Unplugged.
As an educational technology coach, I empower teachers to leverage digital tools strategically to challenge and engage students. My focus areas include innovative iPad integration, BYOD implementation, Minecraft-based learning, electronics exploration, filming and editing, and comprehensive digital literacy, safety, and citizenship education.
I am committed to developing both the pedagogical practices and digital infrastructure necessary to support authentic, student-centered learning experiences that prepare learners for an increasingly digital world.
