D Carl Garrison

Mr. Garrison received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University and his M.S. in Information/Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has completed post-graduate work in management at St. Mary's University and the Harvard Business School. He is a Certified Systems Professional.

Carl also has over 30 years of experience in applying information technology for business benefit. Formerly an executive with Arthur D. Little with extensive experience in developing systems productivity tools and system development/maintenance methodologies. Mr. Garrison has assisted companies with technical architecture, operational effectiveness, IT strategy and large scale project management. He has extensive experience in the start-up and operations of several technology and consulting based businesses.

When Carl isn't writing articles for CIO Journal, Computer World, or Information Week, you can find him presenting to professional groups or IT students on information technology issues.


Joe Ivison

Mr Ivison holds a B.A. in Business from Chaminade University and a M.S. in MIS from the University of Southern California. He also attended the University of Houston’s MBA and MS in finance programs.

Joe has over 30 years of experience in applying information technology to meet the strategic, tactical, and operational goals of business organizations. Formerly an executive with Arthur D. Little and Arthur Young; he has an extensive background in identifying business requirements and developing the required underlying infrastructure to meet the requirements. Joe specializes in a broad range of business needs, from developing strategies, architectures, system designs, and corrective measures, to IT organizational analysis, IT audits, and disaster recovery planning.


When Joe isn’t ensuring business continuity, he is busy with the HLS&R Wine Committee.
