Hard at Work

One of our interns works with a food blogger/writer and he has been able to select, test, evaluate and review some recipes for her to use. Today the interns, under the direction of our intern chef, tried two new recipes. Sliced baked potatoes with cream sauce and yummy melted gruyere cheese. There was also a white chocolate lemon bark. Both recipes were very delicious. Interns used their communication and collaboration skills, practiced good food safety skills and created some yummy products.

Action Shots

Interns are busy every day, including community based learning and group activities while not on their worksites.

Earlier this week the interns went for a walk to stretch their legs and learn about their community. They ended up at the Government Center and while looking around to see what offices were in the building, they ran into the Chief of Police for Superior. He was kind enough to take a few minutes to answer questions and snap a quick picture. Thanks Superior Police Department and Chief Alexander for all you do!

The interns are working on teamwork and communication skills- some key traits of a good employee.

The interns out and about learning public transportation and shopping for interview/work clothes.
