The American Society of Civil Engineers, or ASCE, is a national organization founded in 1852. It is the oldest national engineering society in the United States, and currently has over 160,000 members worldwide. It hosts conferences, offers networking opportunities, and supports civil engineers in every part of the profession.

The SUNY Polytechnic Institute ASCE Student Chapter is a student-led area of the society. It exists as part of the Syracuse Section, within Region 1. We are solely made up of students from the school, and we meet weekly to network, learn, or otherwise contribute to our engineering career paths.
